The Fox Factory Race Series 2.5 x 10 smooth body remote reservoir shock (981-25-001) is engineered for professional-grade off-road performance. Utilizing FOX’s patented internal bypass technology, this shock delivers position-sensitive damping that allows oil to bypass the piston during the initial stroke for a plush ride, while generating significant pressure at the end of the stroke to prevent bottoming out. The external Dual Speed Compression (DSC) adjustment provides the ability to fine-tune high- and low-speed compression to match specific vehicle weights, terrain, and speeds.

Built to withstand extreme environments, the shock features a 2.5-inch aluminum body protected by a proprietary Cerakote ceramic coating over a zinc-plated basecoat. The 7/8-inch 17-4 H900 hard chrome plated stainless steel shaft is supported by redundant seals and lubricated with JM92 MIL-SPEC oil, ensuring consistent damping performance even under high thermal loads.
