The Hellwig EZ-990 Helper Spring kit is a medium-duty suspension solution designed to provide up to 2,000 lbs of level load-carrying capacity for drivers who frequently tow light trailers or haul moderate payloads. This step-bracket style leaf spring kit improves vehicle control and stability by reducing rear-end sag and body roll without permanently hardening the ride.
Manufactured in Hellwig's California facility from heat-treated ASTM 5160 alloy spring steel, these units are built for durability and consistent performance. The kit includes heavy-duty powder-coated and plated hardware for corrosion resistance. The simple bolt-on design installs with common hand tools, and the included U-bolts allow for independent side-to-side adjustment to compensate for uneven loads.
