Fits select 2000-2004 Subaru Impreza WRX STI models (GDB Applied A-D). This HKS HIPERMAX S Full Kit (80300-AF002) is the successor to the MAX IV GT series, re-engineered to provide the ultimate balance of handling and ride comfort for the GD-chassis STI.
- Dual PVS (Pre-load Valve System): Enhances damping force at low piston speeds for improved tire contact and stability over uneven surfaces.
- WR (Wide Range) Needle: Features 30 levels of damping adjustment with an expanded tuning range to suit both street and occasional track use.
- Single Tube Damper: Ensures consistent performance and superior heat dissipation compared to twin-tube designs.
- PNE Coating: Applied to the height-adjustment threads to provide high-level corrosion resistance and prevent seizing.
- Strengthened Rubber or Pillow Ball Mounts: Optimized for the GDB chassis to maintain precise alignment and steering response.
The kit includes a full set of four dampers and springs, adjustment wrenches, and installation hardware to replace the factory struts with a high-performance single-tube solution.
