While the S550 Mustang EcoBoost is a potent platform, the factory tube-and-fin intercooler is highly susceptible to heat soak during spirited driving or track sessions. The Injen FM9200I intercooler addresses this bottleneck with a high-efficiency bar-and-plate design engineered to maintain lower intake air temperatures and consistent performance. This direct-fit upgrade utilizes all factory mounting locations for a straightforward installation that works with the stock calibration.
- Performance Gains: Dyno-proven increases of up to 17 hp and 17 lb-ft of torque.
- Thermal Efficiency: Reduces outlet temperatures by up to 50°F compared to the stock unit.
