Constructed from a proprietary hydrophobic base media, this Hydroshield is UV-resistant and puncture-resistant, with specialized elasticity that allows it to retain its shape after cleaning and re-installation. While not completely waterproof, the water-repellent treatment effectively prevents moisture from saturating the filter during wet driving conditions, helping to prevent power loss and potential engine damage. It is capable of stopping debris and contaminants down to .005 inches.
