The J&L 3.0 Oil Separator (3012D-B) is engineered to protect your supercharged engine from the performance-robbing effects of oil vapor accumulation. During the process of venting crankcase pressure back through the intake track, oil vapors can coat intake manifold runners and even dilute your fuel, effectively lowering its octane level. This is particularly critical in forced induction applications where increased crankcase pressures accelerate this buildup.

Milled from solid billet aluminum, this separator features a multi-stage filtration system to capture even the finest vapors. Contaminated air passes through a fine mesh stainless steel screen before entering a 1/2-inch thick, 1/16th-inch aluminum honeycomb filter. This causes the oil to coalesce and fall into the 3 oz reservoir while allowing clean air to continue to the intake. The knurled tank base ensures easy removal for draining every 2,000 to 3,000 miles.
