This JE Pistons Forged Piston Set is engineered specifically for Volkswagen 1.8T 20V engines, providing a high-strength foundation for high-performance builds. Forged and machined in the USA from 2618-T6 aluminum alloy, these pistons offer the superior tensile strength required to handle the increased cylinder pressures and heat common in turbocharged applications.
The proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design reduces skirt width and weight, minimizing friction and reciprocating mass without compromising structural integrity. To ensure a reliable combustion seal, this kit includes JE Pro Seal premium piston rings and an accumulator groove to reduce ring flutter under high RPMs. Each kit comes complete with precision-machined wrist pins and locks for a full rotating assembly upgrade.
