The K&N 69-1009TR Typhoon air intake system is a high-performance, short ram induction kit designed to replace the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing. Built around a mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube, this system significantly reduces airflow restriction while smoothing and straightening the air path into the throttle body. This increased airflow volume is designed to provide a guaranteed power gain and improved acceleration throughout the engine's RPM range.
The intake tube features a durable red powder-coat finish and includes integrated ports to accommodate the factory air temperature sensor, crankcase vent hose, and idle air bypass control thermal valve hose. The kit is supplied with a black rubber-topped K&N high-flow air filter, which can be used for up to 100,000 miles before servicing is required, depending on driving conditions.
