The K&N 69 Series Typhoon Performance intake system is a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum tube air induction system designed to provide a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque. By replacing the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing, this system allows your engine to breathe more efficiently, resulting in improved throttle response and a more aggressive engine sound under acceleration.
Each system features an oversized, conical High-Flow Air Filter constructed with oiled cotton filter media. This washable, reusable filter provides excellent filtration and can go up to 100,000 miles between services under normal highway driving conditions. The system includes a custom heat shield to help isolate the intake air from high engine bay temperatures, ensuring a cooler, denser air charge. Installation is straightforward and can typically be completed in 90 minutes or less using standard hand tools and factory mounting points.
