The K&N 77-Series Performance Intake Kit (77-2575KS) is designed to improve airflow and engine performance for the 3.5L Ford Explorer. This system replaces the restrictive factory air filter and intake housing with a free-flowing, mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube and an oversized conical air filter. The mandrel-bent design ensures smooth airflow into the engine, while the custom heat shield helps isolate the intake air from high engine bay temperatures.
- High-Flow Filtration: Includes a washable, reusable oiled cotton filter designed for up to 100,000 miles between services under normal highway conditions.
- Aluminum Intake Tube: Mandrel-bent aluminum construction provides a direct, low-restriction path for incoming air.
- Heat Shield: Protects the intake air from engine heat to maintain cooler air temperatures.
