The K&N Typhoon Series intake system is engineered to replace the restrictive factory air path with a free-flowing mandrel-bent aluminum intake tube. By smoothing and straightening the airflow, this system allows your engine to inhale a larger volume of air for improved throttle response and performance. The system utilizes an oversized, conical High-Flow Air Filter featuring oiled cotton media, designed to provide superior filtration while maintaining high airflow rates.
A custom-fit heat shield is included to help isolate the air filter from high engine bay temperatures, ensuring cooler air enters the intake. This system is designed for a straightforward installation that typically takes less than 90 minutes using factory mounting points. The washable air filter is built for longevity, requiring service only every 100,000 miles under normal highway driving conditions.
