Fits 1995-1997 Ford Explorer models equipped with the V6-4.0L OHV engine.
The K&N 57 Series FIPK (Fuel Injection Performance Kit) replaces your vehicle's restrictive factory air filter and intake housing with a custom-engineered high-density polyethylene (HDPE) rotationally-molded tube. This aerodynamic tube is designed to significantly increase the volume of airflow to your engine, providing a guaranteed increase in horsepower and torque by reducing air turbulence and restriction.
This system includes an oversized, conical High-Flow Air Filter featuring K&N’s signature oiled cotton filter media. Designed for longevity and performance, this washable and reusable filter can go up to 100,000 miles between services under normal highway driving conditions. To further optimize intake temperatures, a custom heat shield is provided to help protect the intake air from the high heat of the engine bay.
