The K&N XStream Universal Air Filter (RX-4990) is engineered to maximize surface area and airflow by incorporating a pleated filter within the top of the unit. This unique XStream design provides significantly more filtration area than standard closed-top filters, allowing for higher air volume and extended service intervals. It is built for racing and high-performance environments where engine protection and unrestricted intake are vital.
Constructed with ultra-strong, molded pliable rubber flanges, this clamp-on filter effectively absorbs engine vibration for a secure attachment. The flange material allows for up to 1/16 inch (1.5mm) of stretch to accommodate in-between intake tube sizes. This filter features K&N's signature washable cotton gauze media, making it a sustainable, reusable performance upgrade.
