The K&N 54 Series Orion Universal Air Cleaner Assembly is a high-performance shielded intake system designed to increase volumetric efficiency and engine horsepower in custom applications. By combining the high-flow characteristics of an open-element cone filter with the thermal protection of an enclosed air box, this universal assembly provides a significant upgrade for vehicles where a standard vehicle-specific intake is not available.

The unit features a durable injection-molded housing that functions as a thermal barrier, shielding the intake air from engine bay heat soak to prevent power loss. Internally, it utilizes K&N’s signature cotton gauze filter media, which is washable, reusable, and engineered for high flow with minimal restriction. The assembly is built for versatility, including a 1/4-inch NPT threaded fitting on the filter base for optional vent adapters or PCV connections.
