The K&N Apollo (RC-5052AB) is a universal Closed Intake System (CIS) engineered to increase volumetric efficiency by providing a steady supply of cooler ambient air directly to the throttle body. By enclosing the filter within a durable, lightweight housing, the Apollo acts as a thermal barrier that reduces heat soak compared to an open-element filter, maintaining a denser intake charge for better combustion.
This system utilizes K&N’s signature oiled cotton gauze filter media, which is fully removable for periodic cleaning and reuse. The internal geometry is specifically contoured to minimize air turbulence and maximize laminar flow. Rated for naturally aspirated engines up to 250 BHP and turbocharged applications up to 350 BHP, the Apollo is a versatile solution for custom intake routing.
