The Kartboy Front Shifter Bushing (KB-003-5SPD) is engineered to eliminate the vague, spongy feel common in factory Subaru 5-speed linkages. By replacing the soft, compliant original equipment rubber bushing with a much stiffer polyurethane compound, this upgrade significantly reduces shifter "slop" and provides a more precise, tactile gear selection.
Constructed from high-durometer polyurethane, these bushings are designed to withstand the heat and stress of the drivetrain environment while maintaining their shape. This is a direct replacement for the factory front shifter stay bushing, bolting into the existing housing to bridge the gap between the shifter rod and the transmission. Whether you are daily driving or at the track, this modification provides the mechanical feedback necessary for confident, crisp shifts.
