Engineered for high-output engine builds, the King Engine Bearings pMaxKote Performance Rod Bearing Set provides the durability required for turbocharged and high-RPM applications. These bearings feature King's proprietary pMaxKote, a nano-composite polymer coating applied over the pMaxBlack tri-metal structure. This factory-applied coating enhances seizure resistance and protects against metal-to-metal contact during cold starts or oil pressure fluctuations without increasing the wall thickness of the bearing.
The STDX size (Standard Extra Clearance) is designed for precision engine builders who require additional oil clearance—typically .001 inch—compared to standard size bearings. This allows for improved oil flow and cooling in demanding racing environments.
