The Koni Special Active series utilizes patented Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) technology to solve the traditional compromise between handling and comfort. This rear shock absorber functions as a smart suspension system, mechanically adjusting its damping level based on the road surface frequency. On smooth pavement, it provides firm control for reduced body roll and improved steering response; on rougher surfaces, it softens to absorb impacts and road noise without the need for electronic sensors or cables.
Designed as a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory rear units, the 8045 1337 shock is engineered to work with both standard OE springs and aftermarket lowering kits. The valving is specifically tuned for the Mazda 3 chassis to maintain stability during spirited driving while ensuring a refined ride during daily commuting.
