Manley Platinum Series Extreme Duty pistons are engineered for professional engine builders and tuners who demand superior durability in high-horsepower applications. Forged from domestic 2618 aluminum alloy, these pistons are built to withstand extreme cylinder pressures. Each piston in this set features a moly skirt coating to reduce friction and minimize cylinder wall wear, providing a significant advantage in forced induction or high-RPM naturally aspirated builds.
Manley utilizes a unique manufacturing process where skirt turning and ring groove machining are performed in a single operation. This ensures ultimate squareness between the ring groove and the skirt for a superior ring seal and consistent power. The optimized cam and barrel skirt profiles provide necessary stability while remaining gentle on the cylinder walls. This set comes standard with premium Chrome Moly wrist pins and exacting ring land tolerances.
