When lowering your 1988-1998 GM truck by 5 to 6 inches, the factory rear shock absorber angle becomes compromised, often resulting in poor damping performance and limited travel. MaxTrac rear shock angle correctors (also known as shock extenders) relocate the mounting points to restore proper shock geometry. By repositioning the shocks to a more vertical orientation, these extensions improve ride quality and ensure your dampers can effectively manage suspension movement on heavily dropped applications.
