Designed for GM LSA engines equipped with an 8-bolt crankshaft, the McLeod billet steel flywheel (part number 460538) provides the durability and inertia required for both street and track use. Unlike lighter aluminum counterparts, these steel units are engineered to maintain momentum, making them ideal for heavy street cars that require smooth stop-light acceleration and consistent launches in high-load applications.
Each flywheel is CNC machined from premium billet alloy steel to ensure tight tolerances and perfect balance. To provide long-term reliability and resist wear from starter engagement, McLeod equips these units with 1045 hardened steel ring gears.
