Protect your LS-series engine from excessive heat with the Mishimoto direct-fit thermostatic oil cooler kit. Designed specifically for the tight packaging of the 2004-2006 Pontiac GTO, this kit replaces the need for a traditional sandwich plate with a specialized oil line adapter and an external in-line oil thermostat. The thermostat mounts securely beneath the headlight using a vehicle-specific bracket, ensuring your oil reaches and maintains a consistent 185°F (85°C) operating temperature.
At the heart of the system is a massive 25-row stacked-plate cooler, selected for its high thermal transfer capabilities. During testing, this core demonstrated a 65°F drop in oil temperatures when run without a thermostat, providing the overhead needed for high-performance driving. The kit includes durable stainless steel braided lines with -AN fittings for a leak-free connection to the oil filter housing.
