The factory oil cooler on the BMW E60 M5 and E63/E64 M6 is a known failure point, frequently developing leaks at the weld points or via degraded O-rings. Given the high-revving nature of the S85 V10 and its front-mounted location, the stock unit is also susceptible to road debris damage and fin clogging. The Mishimoto Performance Oil Cooler (MMOC-E60-06) is engineered to solve these reliability issues while providing significantly improved thermal management for aggressive driving.

Constructed with a robust bar-and-plate core, this direct-fit cooler is significantly more durable than the original equipment. The design features a strategic fin layout that provides a 41-percent increase in external fin surface area and a 30-percent increase in internal fin surface area, resulting in a total core volume increase of 40.3-percent. The unit is finished in a durable silver powder coat for long-term corrosion resistance and includes CNC-machined inlet/outlet ports for a secure fit.
