The Mishimoto Front-Mount Intercooler Kit is engineered for Subaru WRX owners looking to maximize cooling efficiency and airflow on vehicles demanding more than a top-mount can provide. This kit features a large 28-inch intercooler core with a 3.5-inch thickness, optimized for heat exchange during high-load conditions such as track sessions or competitive use. The system is designed to minimize pressure drop, reducing stress on the turbocharger while maintaining high airflow velocities.
This kit includes mandrel-bent aluminum piping tailored for throttle response: 2.25-inch diameter hot-side piping maintains air velocity, while the cold-side piping transitions from 2.5 to 2.75 inches to match the factory throttle body. Installation is streamlined with an application-specific crash bar that mounts to existing factory points, requiring no cutting of the front bumper and retaining the stock fog lights.
