The Mishimoto MMTS-CTR-17 Racing Thermostat is engineered to manage engine temperatures more effectively than the factory unit. By initiating coolant flow earlier, this thermostat helps prevent heat soak during high-load scenarios, such as track days or spirited driving. This thermostat begins opening at 68°C (154.4°F), which is 10°C (18°F) sooner than the stock component, and reaches a fully open state at 83°C (181.4°F)—7°C (12.6°F) earlier than the OEM equivalent.
This lower activation temperature allows your radiator to begin shedding heat much sooner, providing a larger thermal margin for the K20C1 engine. It is a direct-fit replacement that installs into the factory housing using original hardware. For maximum cooling efficiency, pair this thermostat with a Mishimoto performance aluminum radiator and oil cooler kit.
