The LT2 V8 in the C8 Corvette utilizes a direct-injection fuel system which, while high-performing, is susceptible to oil blow-by and carbon buildup on the intake valves. Without fuel washing over the valves, contaminants can bake onto the intake surfaces, leading to power loss and potential detonation. The Mishimoto MMBCC-C8-20P Baffled Oil Catch Can Kit is engineered specifically for the PCV side to intercept oil, fuel, and water vapors before they reach the intake tract.
This kit features a 3 oz. capacity reservoir and utilizes an internal baffle with a bronze filter to ensure only clean air returns to the engine. The 2.5mm-thick steel bracket mounts the unit securely while remaining easily accessible for routine servicing. Installation is straightforward with application-specific hoses and pre-installed quick-disconnect fittings that mate to the factory connections.
