The FA24 turbocharged engine in the 2022+ WRX relies on a compact factory liquid-to-liquid heat exchanger that can struggle to manage thermal loads during spirited driving or track sessions. This Mishimoto direct-fit performance oil cooler kit is engineered to work in tandem with the OEM system to maintain optimal operating temperatures and reduce stress on the primary cooling system. In dyno testing, this kit achieved a 20-degree reduction in oil temperatures while increasing total system capacity by 0.75 quarts.
The kit features a 19-row stacked-plate cooler strategically mounted in the upper grille for maximum airflow. Installation is straightforward with application-specific brackets and pre-assembled -10AN black nylon-covered stainless-steel lines. The included thermostatic sandwich plate ensures oil reaches operating temperature efficiently before cooling begins, preventing over-cooling in daily driving conditions.
