The Mishimoto Aluminum Coolant Expansion Tank is engineered to eliminate a notorious failure point in the Subaru cooling system. While factory plastic expansion tanks are prone to becoming brittle, cracking, and leaking after years of heat cycling, this all-aluminum unit is fully TIG-welded for maximum durability. Beyond increased reliability, this tank offers a 22-percent greater capacity than the stock plastic component, providing additional coolant volume for more efficient thermal management.
