This thermal barrier keeps heat contained within the turbine housing, maintaining exhaust gas velocity and improving turbo spool while lowering ambient engine bay temperatures.
The MMHP-TB-T4 is constructed for durability in high-heat environments. It features a rugged outer layer made from crushed volcanic lava rock and an inner liner composed of 96% silica fiber. This combination allows the blanket to withstand constant direct heat up to 1,800°F and interior temperatures up to 2,300°F. Each blanket includes stainless steel lacing anchors and wire to ensure a secure, snug fit around the housing.
