Prothane rear frame shackle bushings (MPN 1-802-BL) are a direct-fit upgrade designed to replace soft, degraded original equipment rubber. Over decades of use, stock rubber bushings dry rot and compress, leading to excessive shackle play and unpredictable rear-end handling. These polyurethane replacements provide the necessary rigidity to maintain suspension geometry while remaining resilient enough to handle off-road articulation.
