This R1 Front Right Slotted Black Brake Rotor (613-54070R) is engineered to provide superior thermal management and consistent stopping power. The precision-machined slots across the friction surface act as a scavenging system, effectively venting heat, brake dust, and gases that can accumulate during heavy braking. This process helps maintain optimal pad-to-rotor contact and significantly reduces the risk of brake fade.
To ensure long-term durability and clean aesthetics, the rotor is treated with a black protective coating on the hub and vanes. This finish resists rust and corrosion, preventing the unsightly oxidation often seen on standard cast iron rotors. This is a direct-replacement component designed to install without modification to the factory braking system.
