The Radium Engineering FPD-R (Fuel Pulse Damper - Referenced) is an essential component for managing high-frequency pressure fluctuations within the fuel rail. These pulses, caused by the rapid opening and closing of fuel injectors, can lead to erratic fuel pressure, lean spots, and audible fuel system noise. By absorbing these energy waves, the FPD-R ensures a steady fuel delivery across the entire RPM range.
This direct-mount kit features a 3/8 NPT male thread for installation into compatible fuel rails or regulator ports. Unlike static dampers, the FPD-R is vacuum/boost referenced, allowing it to adjust its internal diaphragm tension based on manifold pressure. This ensures consistent damping performance in forced induction applications where fuel pressure scales with boost.
