The Rancho RS5000X (RS55264) shock absorber uses a unique Cross Tuned valving system to deliver a balance of on-road comfort and off-road stability. Designed for heavy-duty applications, this twin-tube gas-pressurized shock features Progressive Engagement Valving to reduce harshness during initial impacts at low speeds while maintaining control during high-speed compression. The 150 PSI nitrogen gas charge minimizes aeration and oil foaming to ensure consistent damping performance during prolonged use.
- Durable Construction: 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod resists scuffs and corrosion for long-term seal integrity.
- Structural Strength: Features double-welded loops at stress points and a 35mm sintered iron piston for enhanced durability.
- Temperature Resistance: Large twin-tube body and all-weather fluid allow operation in extreme environments ranging from -40 to 248°F.
- Ride Quality: Polyurethane rebound bumpers and rubber bushings absorb harshness, while a fluon-banded piston improves responsiveness to road changes.
- Included Protection: Comes equipped with a polyvinyl protective boot to shield the rod and oil seal from debris.
