The Rancho RS5000X (RS55385) is a heavy-duty twin-tube gas-pressurized shock designed to improve stability and ride quality on full-size SUVs. Featuring Rancho’s exclusive Cross Tuned technology, this shock uses a unique rebound valving system and an advanced compression phase to provide better handling both on-road and off-road. The internal 150 PSI nitrogen gas charge minimizes the air-to-oil mixture, effectively reducing damping fade and foaming during continuous use.
- Precision Valving: Progressive Engagement Valving is custom-tuned for the Ford Excursion to reduce harshness at low speeds while maintaining firm control during high-impact events.
- Durable Construction: Equipped with a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, plus a 35mm sintered iron piston for long-term structural integrity.
- Built for Extremes: Large twin-tube body with all-weather fluid allows for consistent operation in temperatures ranging from -40°F to 248°F.
- Installation Ready: Includes double-welded loops at stress points for maximum strength, polyurethane rebound bumpers, and a protective polyvinyl boot to shield the rod and seal from debris.
