The Rancho RS5000X (RS55221) is a twin-tube gas-pressurized shock designed for precision control on and off-road. Engineered with Cross Tuned technology, this shock utilizes a unique rebound valving system and an advanced compression phase to improve handling. The Progressive Engagement Valving (PEV) is specifically tuned to reduce initial impact harshness at low speeds while providing consistent damping performance when the terrain gets rough.

Built for durability in extreme environments, the RS55221 features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, along with double-welded loops at stress points. The large 35mm sintered iron piston provides structural integrity, and the shock is filled with all-weather fluid capable of operating between -40 and 248°F.
