The Rancho RS5000X shock absorber utilizes a unique Cross Tuned technology with an exclusive rebound valving system and advanced compression phase to improve handling both on and off-road. Engineered with Progressive Engagement Valving, these shocks are custom-tuned for each application to reduce initial impacts at low speeds and minimize ride harshness. The twin-tube body is nitrogen-gas pressurized to 150 PSI, reducing air-to-oil mixture to prevent damping fade and foaming during heavy use.
- Durable Construction: Features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod for superior corrosion resistance and double-welded loops at high-stress points.
- Precision Valving: 35mm sintered iron piston and application-specific piston area provide heightened control of shock motion.
- All-Weather Performance: Filled with all-weather fluid capable of withstanding internal temperatures from -40 to 248°F.
- Ride Quality: Includes a fluon-banded piston for responsiveness, plus polyurethane rebound bumpers and rubber bushings to absorb road vibrations.
- Protection: Equipped with a polyvinyl protective boot to shield the rod and oil seal from debris.
