The Rancho RS5000X series gas shock absorber utilizes an exclusive Progressive Engagement Valving (PEV) system to deliver improved handling and control both on and off-road. Engineered for 1982-2011 Chevrolet Blazer/S10, GMC Jimmy/Sonoma, Ford Ranger, Mazda B-Series, and Isuzu Hombre, this twin-tube shock features application-specific tuning to minimize initial impacts and reduce damping fade under heavy use.
- 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod provides a durable finish to resist scuffs and corrosion
- 35mm sintered iron piston increases structural integrity and motion control
- Nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI minimizes air-to-oil mixture to prevent foaming
- All-weather fluid allows for consistent operation in internal temperatures from -40 to 248°F
- Double-welded loops at stress areas and polyurethane rebound bumpers for long-term durability
- Fluon-banded piston enhances responsiveness to changing road conditions
