The Rancho RS5000X (MPN: RS55195) is an advanced twin-tube shock absorber designed to bridge the gap between highway comfort and off-road control. Engineered with Cross Tuned technology and a unique Progressive Engagement Valving system, this shock provides custom-tuned damping that reduces initial impact at low speeds while maintaining firm control during aggressive maneuvers. The larger twin-tube body is pressurized with 150 PSI of nitrogen gas to minimize the air-to-oil mixture, effectively preventing performance fade and foaming under heavy workloads.
Built for long-term durability in harsh environments, the RS55195 features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod for superior scuff and corrosion resistance. The unit is equipped with double-welded loops at high-stress points and a 35mm sintered iron piston to ensure structural integrity. A polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings help isolate road vibrations, while the included polyvinyl boot protects the rod and seal from debris.
