The Rancho RS5000X series shock absorber delivers precision handling and improved control for your Ford truck or SUV. At the heart of this shock is Cross Tuned technology featuring an exclusive Progressive Engagement Valving (PEV) system. This custom-tuned valving is designed to reduce initial impacts at low speeds while maintaining firm control during high-speed maneuvers or off-road use. The twin-tube body is filled with all-weather fluid, allowing the shock to withstand internal temperatures from -40°F to 248°F without performance loss.

Built for the rigors of heavy use, the RS55233 features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod for superior corrosion resistance and a 35mm sintered iron piston for enhanced structural integrity. The 150 PSI nitrogen gas charge minimizes air-to-oil foaming, ensuring consistent damping performance and reducing fade during demanding conditions. The shock is finished with double-welded loops at stress areas and includes a polyvinyl protective boot to shield the rod and oil seal.
