Fits select 1997-2004 Ford Expedition, F-150, F-150 Heritage, and F-250 models. This Rancho RS5000X gas-pressurized shock absorber is engineered to improve vehicle handling and control both on and off-road.
Featuring Rancho’s exclusive Cross Tuned technology, this twin-tube shock uses Progressive Engagement Valving (PEV) to reduce initial impacts at low speeds while maintaining control during aggressive maneuvers. The nitrogen gas charge (pressurized to 150 PSI) minimizes the air-to-oil mixture to prevent damping fade and foaming during heavy use. Built for long-term durability, it features a nitro-carburized piston rod and a 35mm sintered iron piston for superior structural integrity.
- 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod resists scuffs and corrosion
- 35mm sintered iron piston provides enhanced durability
- Nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI to minimize performance fade
- All-weather fluid withstands internal temperatures from -40°F to 248°F
- Polyurethane rebound bumper and rubber bushings help absorb ride harshness
- Low-friction, self-lubricating seal retains gas and oil for quicker rebound
- Includes a polyvinyl protective boot and double-welded loops at stress areas
