The Rancho RS5000X (RS55234) is a twin-tube gas-pressurized shock designed to deliver a controlled, smooth ride for both on-road and off-road applications. Using exclusive Cross Tuned technology and Progressive Engagement Valving, this shock is custom-tuned to minimize initial impacts at low speeds while providing consistent damping during aggressive maneuvers. The larger twin-tube body increases oil capacity to manage heat, allowing the shock to operate effectively in internal temperatures ranging from -40 to 248°F.
- Durable Construction: Features a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, 35mm sintered iron piston for structural integrity, and double-welded loops at stress points.
- Ride Control: Nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI reduces air-to-oil foaming and performance fade.
- Enhanced Seals: A low-friction, self-lubricating seal and fluon-banded piston ensure quicker rebound and smoother compression.
- Protection Included: Comes with a polyvinyl protective boot and rubber bushings to absorb ride harshness and protect the piston rod from debris.
