The Rancho RS5000X RS55255 front shock absorber is engineered to provide precise handling and control for both on-road comfort and off-road capability. Built around a large twin-tube body, this gas-pressurized shock features Rancho’s exclusive Cross Tuned technology and Progressive Engagement Valving (PEV). This system is custom-tuned for the Jeep TJ chassis to reduce initial impact harshness at low speeds while maintaining firm control during high-speed compression and rebound.
- Durable Construction: Built with a 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod to resist scuffs and corrosion, along with double-welded loops at high-stress areas.
- Advanced Valving: A 35mm sintered iron piston and fluon-banded seal ensure structural integrity and consistent responsiveness to changing road conditions.
- Thermal Stability: Filled with all-weather fluid designed to withstand internal temperatures ranging from -40 to 248°F, reducing fade during extended cycles.
- Nitrogen Charged: Pressurized to 150 PSI to minimize air-to-oil mixture, preventing foaming and damping performance loss.
- Protection Included: Comes standard with a polyvinyl protective boot and rubber bushings to absorb ride harshness.
