The Rancho RS5000X (RS55256) is a twin-tube gas-pressurized shock absorber engineered for improved handling and control on both street and trail. Featuring Rancho’s exclusive Cross Tuned technology, this rear shock utilizes a unique rebound valving system and an advanced compression phase to manage vehicle motion effectively. The Progressive Engagement Valving is specifically tuned for the Jeep TJ platform to reduce harshness during low-speed impacts while minimizing damping fade during high-speed maneuvers.
- 16mm nitro-carburized piston rod for superior scuff and corrosion resistance
- 35mm sintered iron piston provides enhanced structural integrity and consistent damping
- Nitrogen gas pressurized to 150 PSI to minimize air-to-oil mixture and reduce foaming
- All-weather fluid allows for consistent operation in temperatures from -40 to 248°F
- Double-welded loops at stress points for increased durability in off-road environments
- Includes a protective polyvinyl boot to shield the rod and seal from debris
- Custom-tuned Compression Control Valve regulates fluid transfer to absorb heavy impacts
