Skunk2 Alpha Series Connecting Rods are engineered for high-performance builds requiring an optimal strength-to-weight ratio. Each rod is forged from select 4340 chromoly steel and features a straight H-beam design capable of supporting 900+ HP. To ensure maximum durability under extreme cylinder pressures, Skunk2 utilizes a comprehensive manufacturing process including heat-treating, tempering, and shot-peening for reduced surface fatigue. Every rod undergoes magna-flux inspection and FEA analysis to verify structural integrity before being balanced to within +/- 1 gram.
