Skunk2 Valve Spring Bases are engineered to solve a specific valvetrain compatibility challenge for H-series enthusiasts. These precision-machined bases allow H-series VTEC cylinder heads to accept Skunk2 Pro Series Valve Springs and Titanium Retainers originally designed for B-series engines, providing access to a wider range of high-performance valvetrain components.
Each spring base is developed using 3D CAD and Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to ensure structural integrity under the high-stress conditions of a performance valvetrain. Manufactured from ultrasonically inspected, certified high-quality steel, these components undergo CNC machining and individual inspection for dimensional accuracy and surface finish. Tested on both the engine dyno and the road, these bases provide the reliability required for high-lift, high-RPM applications.
