The Skyjacker 8255 steering stabilizer kit is engineered to eliminate front-end shimmy and highway harshness caused by the increased rotating mass of oversized tires and wheels. By acting as a horizontal shock absorber for your steering linkage, this damper reduces the physical effort required to maintain control both on and off the road, significantly decreasing driver fatigue during long hauls or technical trail sections.
This black-finished stabilizer replaces the weak or worn factory unit with a higher-capacity dampening cylinder, providing a more stable and predictable steering feel. It is a direct-fit solution designed for the specific geometry of classic 1-ton GM K-series and V-series 4WD trucks.
