Skyjacker Softride leaf springs are engineered to provide superior ride quality and wheel travel without compromising durability. Each individual leaf in the FR74S pack is shot-peened with hard steel pellets at high velocities, a process that compresses the steel's surface to significantly increase tensile strength. This ensures the spring can handle maximum articulation while maintaining a long service life.
The Softride design features leafs that are tapered over their entire length, allowing for greater flex at the ends and more even load distribution across the pack. This prevents the common issue of one leaf digging into the one above it. To further reduce internal friction, Skyjacker utilizes bolt-style spring clips instead of standard cinch-style clips that can cause binding and harsh ride characteristics.
