The Skyjacker Softride (F746S) leaf spring is engineered to provide a significant upgrade over factory suspension by focusing on ride quality and durability. Constructed from high-grade American steel, each leaf undergoes a rigorous shot-peening process using high-velocity steel pellets. This technique compresses the steel's surface, drastically increasing tensile strength to allow for maximum wheel travel without compromising the spring's service life.
Unlike standard designs that use "C" style bend clips—which can cause binding and friction—Skyjacker Softride springs utilize bolt-style spring clips to ensure smooth articulation. The leaves are tapered along their entire length, allowing for increased flex at the tips and a more even load distribution, which prevents the individual leaves from digging into one another.
