Skyjacker Softride leaf springs are engineered to provide a significant improvement in ride quality without compromising the durability required for heavy-duty truck applications. Unlike traditional heavy-duty springs that can feel stiff and unforgiving, these Softride packs are constructed as progressive multi-leaf units. Each leaf is shot-peened with high-velocity steel pellets to compress the metal surface, which increases the tensile strength and extends the fatigue life of the spring.

The leaves feature a true taper over their entire length, allowing for a more linear flex at the leaf ends and preventing individual leaves from digging into one another. To eliminate the binding and friction common with standard "C-style" bend clips, Skyjacker utilizes bolt-style spring clips. This design allows the pack to move more freely throughout its travel range while maintaining consistent load capacity.
