Skyjacker Softride leaf springs are engineered to provide a significant upgrade over factory suspension by focusing on ride quality and wheel travel. Unlike standard springs, Softride packs are constructed from high-quality American steel that undergoes a specialized shot-peening process. By bombarding the steel with hard steel pellets at high velocity, the surface is compressed, significantly increasing tensile strength and extending the service life of the spring under heavy articulation.
These progressive multi-leaf packs feature tapered leaves that distribute loads evenly across the entire length of the spring, reducing friction and preventing leaves from digging into one another. The use of bolt-style spring clips further eliminates the binding common with traditional C-style bend clips, allowing for smoother movement and maximum flex at the leaf ends.
